Stash Fav: Journal Cards

I'm not sure who came up with the concept of journaling cards initially, but I've loved them for years!  Not only the single cards, but sheets of 4x3 cards that you can cut apart.  The possibilities with a 12x12 sheet of these little gems are many.  Of course, it goes without saying that you can cut them out individually and place them onto a layout to journal on, but you can also:
♦Cut into a 1 card x 3 card strip to create an accordion album
♦Make instant card fronts
♦Tags for gift bags
♦Add your own personalization, cut to size and slip into a luggage tag holder...great for back-packs!
♦Attach to a wooden skewer and create a cake topper or plant poke
♦Create a 12x12 collage by adding photos to every other card
♦Frame it or add to a canvas block and embellish
Here's my take on using a card on a canvas block
I used the "Splash" Journal Card and "Big Stripe" by Echo Park

Most companies now include this functional element as part of their paper lines...each little square is its own piece of artwork.  I hope you enjoy these new ideas and try them out!
