A Little Bit Fancy

**This is today's first Two Scoops Post.  This afternoon, be sure to come back for a post from this month's GDT! :)**

Can an entire paper line be your favorite? *grins*  I absolutely adore by OFF TO SCHOOL by Fancy Pants Designs.  All of it.  So, I flipped and flopped between the Glitter Cuts and the Filter Embellishments as my fav.  I went with the Filters!  After using a little bit of this and that from the collection, I found that I really loved all of the ideas that one could come up with using the Filters.
On the back of the package there is an example of how to scrunch them into flowers, so I figured that I would forgo an example of that and try to come up with a couple of different things.
I used a LARGE filter and created a bottle lid topper...fits the little cappuccino bottles perfeclty!  Fun gift idea and super, super easy
Then, on this layout, I folded a large filter in half, then in half again and cut into triangles to create some fun and unusual pennants!

I stitched around the perimeter of each one and then distressed them just a bit...I like the way the curl on their own accord...reminds me of shabby chic circus or something similar LOL
I hope you find cool ways to use Fancy Pants' Filters!  You can ink 'em, glitter' em or leave them plain.
Have fun :)

Stash Faves-Fancy Pants "It's the Little Things"

I wanted to share some projects that I made with Fancy Pants It' the Little Things Collection. This collection has the most adorable embellishments and die cuts that accompany the papers. One of my other favorite things were the transparencies that come with it, too.

I made three pages and a mini out of this collection. The color combo is so different and they papers are so versatile and can be used for any theme.

This first page I did I really wanted to use the bright yellow paper against the text background. I added a lot of depth some pop dots.

This 2nd page I tried to focus on other colors in the line, and wanted something that contrasted with my photos a bit. The "tickets" paper is perfect for cutting up and journaling on!

On my last layout I of course had to use the adorable chipboard banner pieces and I also used the transparency as a pocket to hold some of the journaling spots.

Finally, I created a 6x6 mini album use some fabric covered chipboard that I misted for the front and back covers, and then layed the transparency on top. I used an entire pack of journaling spots and the whole sticker sheet, too! I had a lot of photos to get onto the pages! So I will leave you with some photos of the mini! Be sure to check out this line in the store!!!!

Friday Sketch

Here is a sketch that I whipped up for you for this Friday!!!! Generally, I hand draw my sketches first, then do my page, then go back and make a digital sketch. Sometimes they are all exactly the same, and sometimes there are some variations from one to the next!

You could adjust this sketch to fit your photos by using two or three smaller photos instead of one big one.

I used some of the new Fancy Pants "It's the Little Things" collection for this page. I just LOVE the colors in this line. There are some awesome flocked transparencies that go with these papers, which you can see on my page (the crosshatched dots).

Can't wait to see how you use this sketch! Link up your creations here so we can see!

Stash Faves - Fancy Pants Frames

When I saw these frames at CHA I almost passed them by. But the more I thought about them, the more I had to have them!

I'm always trying to find ways to use my scrap supplies to add something to my home. This was one easy way to do it!

The Fancy Pants booth was great and had a MILLION ideas for using them too! They even said they'll be selling replacement acrylic sheets later so you can redecorate easily!

Each frame opens up different possibilities and you can do just about anything to the acrylic sheets! Sew on them, paint them, ink them, stamp them etc. Imagine using Wendys stamp idea on one of the big sheets? You could make a large background!

I've picked up several of these for myself and plan on showing them off in the coming weeks! If you buy some, I'd love to see what you do with them!

Fancy Pants

I've been waiting all day for UPS to deliver our goodies from Fancy Pants.

Why so late? Because we had so many boxes he couldn't fit the entire delivery on his truck! He had to go back to the warehouse to get them!

And they are awesome!
Lots to share with you tonight.
New ball trims:

Other ribbons:

Mixed Media books:

Transparencies for all 3 new lines:

Buttons!!

And last but not least, the On Display Frames! These are amazing in person. I love, love, love when a company takes a product and makes it scrapable. Fancy Pants did just that with these adorable frames. They have an acrylic transparency instead of glass. You can do just about anything to this transparency - paint it, stitch on it, glue anything to it - you get the idea! And the best part is, FP promised refills for these in the coming months! That means you can reuse the frames. Like one for each season. Or make a new page as your child grows. The possibilities are endless.

Of course, you can see the photos from their booth at CHA here.
Of course, all this goodness must be ruined by the fact that Fedex did NOT deliver Jenni Bowlin today. They rescheduled it for tomorrow. So look for some yummy JB in store tomorrow - hopefully early in the day!
