Welcome to August. It seems like the weather changed here overnight and we went from overcast, decent Summer weather to hot and humid. I'm missing the cooler weather of Canada right about now.
I'm in the warehouse now enjoying the cool air conditioning while I fill orders.
Since its the first of the month, we have a new coupon code for you.
Enter 15AUG2011 to save 15% off your entire order. You can save 15% off all new and pre-order items and an additional 15% off sale prices!
We also have a small group of products that we've marked down:
Coredinations Cardstock is now 25% off
Sassafras Lass Sunshine Broadcast is now 25% off (what we have left anyway!)

You can copy the design or color scheme - anything that inspires you from that idea. Please make sure you upload to the Challenge post HERE. Use the Mister Linky or leave a comment linking us to your idea AND tell us which layout you lifted.
Deadline to upload is Midnight on Friday August 5th.

Friday Sketch Day!
Hello Ladies, and welcome to my very first post for Your Scrapbook Stash!
I'm super excited to share the sketch I created this week, along with a cute layout of my nephew.

I find myself continuously making layouts with two photos, so I thought I would step out of my "scrappy" box and make a sketch for three photos! Maybe three photos isn't the biggest leap out of my box, but it's a baby step :)

I used lots of goodies from my kit this month, and had fun mixing and matching manufacturers.
Supplies Used:
Pink Paislee: Patterned Paper, Cardstock Alpha Sticker
Sassafrass Lass: Patterned Paper
October Afternoon: Cardstock Stickers, Buttons, Alpha Sticker, Flashcard
Crate Paper: Chipboard Shapes
Jillibean Soup:Corrugated Alphas (love 'em), Corrugated Banner
Bella Blvd: Number Sticker
Studio Calico: Alpha Stickers
Other: Twine
I'm looking forward to seeing your projects inspired by my very first sketch!
Don't forget to drop by the gallery and upload your creation :)
Thanks so much for joining me this week
XO Kristin

Shellye's July Sketch
It's time for a sketch challenge just for you!
I actually created a page first and liked it so much that I designed the sketch around it. Here is my sample of the sketch using product from Your Scrapbook Stash
YSS Products Used:
-Girls Paperie Jubilee: Hey Day Patterned Paper
-Girls Paperie Jubliee: Picnic Basket Patterned Paper
-Girls Paperie Jubilee: Resin Blossoms
-Girls Paperie Jubilee: Pennant Pins
-Baker's Twine: orange/white
-Tattered Angels: Butternut Squash Glimmer Mist
Other Supplies from personal stash:
Felt accents, fabric blossoms, Thickers, Bazzill cardstock and computer generated journaling
I like designing my pages using the Rule of Three. So not only do I challenge you to use the sketch (as-is or flip it/reverse it as desired) but I also encourage you to try the rule of three!
1-Use at least THREE different patterned papers
2- Use at least three embellishments/elements three times! (can be a different color, as long as they're the same type of embellie. i.e. photos, journal strips, brads, buttons, flowers, ribbon, tags, etc.) On mine I used three photos, three journal strips, three resin blossoms and three pennants
3- Use at least three techniques! On mine I used machine-stitching, inking/distressing and misting.
Have fun!
