Die-Cut Paper Tutorial

Today I am bringing you a fun, easy, tutorial, AND my interpretation of Lady Grace's sketch from this post, all wrapped up in one. :)

Here is my layout:

See that cool die-cut paper on the bottom half of the layout? Here is how I made it.

1. I set my Silhouette to cut the same border strip repeatedly.

2. I cut it out, and I have all these fun strips to play with:

3. More importantly, I had this negative left over:

4. I attached it to my background cardstock. Instant retro vibe!
If you don't own a Silhouette or digital craft cutter, you can get this same look by punching circles into the paper at set intervals and connecting them by cutting out a strip across them with your scissors.

This is totally cool! I love it. And that title is REALLY original. I had to borrow that... though I have to change it to 'future husbands".......
