Chipboard winners and new product

***EDIT - Collage Press Camden and Jackson Lodge are now loaded in the store! The 20% off coupon is valid until Tuesday September 30th. ***

Long story short - the wireless card is not working in Las Vegas. Something about the Wifi network here interfering with the card. So I finally found a way to connect to the internet. a couple of days late, but I found a way. We're still in Vegas. My husband had a medical emergency and we had to stay an extra day.

So, I'm extending the sale until I can get home. Before we left on Friday, Fedex delivered some new product that I was intending to load into the store this weekend. More new product you could use your 20% off coupon on. But without internet access, I couldn't get it loaded. So, the Collage Press will be in the store late tomorrow and the coupon code is extended for those of you who want to use it on the new stuff! So be on the lookout for Camden and Jackson Lodge in the new section.

And the chipboard winners are:

Post #12 - Kimmie and Post # 16 - Joyce Pritts.

Congrats ladies. Send an email with your address to admin@yourscrapbookstash.com and I will get that out to you this week.

Class fun and another Design Team profile....

My husband was off last week so we got to spend a lot of time together. He helped me fill orders and listened to me get excited over the boxes of new product that would arrive. Then he helped me take everything to the warehouse. Lots of fun. Unfortunately, I didn't get to create much but its back to business this week.
And last Friday, I had a chance to volunteer in my friends store. I realized some of the things I miss owning an online store. I don't really get to know my customers, I don't know their faces or their stories. There were people in the store that I know from shopping there or hanging out there. Some I've even taken classes with. I the last year, I've been so busy with the business that I haven't taken a class there. I miss that! So it was even more fun that I was there the night of a class. The energy was high, even after a long day at work for these women.

Candice Carpenter taught the class. If you aren't familiar with her work, she designed for Autumn Leaves at one point and has her own little kit club - Peacoats and Party Hats! If you like vintage, you'll love this site! Lots of crepe paper and yummy things!

She taught 3 layouts using a lot of the Cosmo Cricket Haunted line with her own Candice flair thrown in. She taught everyone how to make these cute crepe paper bows. There is a tutorial on her blog. I'm so glad my friend needed help that night. I got to see the other side of owning a store!

Candice and her mom always bring cupcakes or other goodies to each class. And there is usually glitter floating around everywhere!

Mandy Koeppen - Hastings, Michigan

I'm a 26 year old Stay at home mom. I live in Michigan with my husband Louis and 3 children Teagan, Mavrick, and Avery .
Contests/Publications: Ready,Set,Create Magazine:Aug/Sept 2006 issue,"Happy" ScrapStreet.com Magazine:September 2006 issue and also a cover finalist,"Miracle" Legacy Magazine Feb/March 2007 issue "Moments Like This"
One scrapbook product you can't live without: 7 Gypsies 97% complete stickers

When are you most creative and why? Right before deadlines or contest entries because I am really creative under pressure sounds crazy but some of my best work has come at these times.

3 random things about you: I'm not a morning person. The color green makes me happy.I love to laugh and make others laugh.

A hobby you have other than scrapbooking: Photography is my other hobby. To be honest I think I love taking pictures more than scrapbooking.

Describe your scrapbook style: I'm kind of all over the place right now. I don't think I have a set style. Sometimes I like it very simple and quick other times I like a little funky freestyle.

Are you an organized scrapper or do you work in a mess? I would love to think I am an organized scrapper. I have a great place to create but it tends to be a mess my hubby says. I like things to be out so I can see them while I'm in my creative process.

If you could be anywhere right now..... On the coast day dreaming in the sand.

I enjoy hanging out with my family, fishing, camping@ the lake, shopping and raising Autism Awareness for my Dude Mav.

Here are some of Mandy's creations from last months Gallery. She used a lot of the Rouge de Garance products and the lace cardstock from KI.

You can see more in her Gallery.

Sheer Delight

Okay, we didn't want to share this with you but....
the new KI Memories Sheer Delights are HERE!

We drooled over these at the Summer Show. These are so much fun and CUTE! The patterns are dreamy. Flowers, swirls, houndstooth!! They used these as the page for their 12x12 layouts, cards and even a mini album! I thought I got a picture of it but looking back through everything, its not there. They took one of these sheets and folded it to create a mini album. It had the metal binder rings holding it together. Very cute!

Yeah, we didn't want to share these. I opened the box last night and just kept looking at each of the patterns. Couldn't decide which ones I HAD to have.... so I got one of each!
We can't forget their new Holiday Line - Festive. Thats exactly what it is - festive. Fun colors and patterns - and even some Sheer Delights to match! And a few more Lace Cardstocks. More glitter.

And here's another 'Sheer Delight', our newest Design Team Member - Carrie Labani!

Her layouts are adorable! I can't tell if its her cute kiddo or her talent! She designed an awesome mini album using an acrylic circle and the October Afternoon Detours line of papers. You can see more pictures of it in her Gallery.

And checking out her blog, she used the Pink Paislee Topsiders to create a little chipboard mini. (Scroll down to see.) Those rubons are the Pink Paislee Fashion Rubons. What a great way to use those Topsiders!

Speaking of Carries' blog, do you check out the DT Blogs regularly? If not, you should. They are always posting cute ideas there as well as their Galleries. These girls buy stuff from the store (above and beyond what I give them to work with) and make the cutest things with them!

And here is more about Mrs. Carrie:

My name is Carrie Labani.
I live in Houston, TX. We recently just moved here from Washington state. It has been a fun journey so far but alot of changes.

I grew up in Poulsbo a small town across the water from Seattle,WA. When I was in highschool my older sister got me into scrapbooking. Ever since then I have just loved it! I love cooking and baking though too and like to sew on occassion. I met my husband while bartending at Outback and we have been married for almost 4 years. We love to travel and cruise and hope to have more opportunities to go in the future. I am a SAHM to our beautiful 2 year old little girl named Sydney who is our life. Right now we are just trying to get settled in to our new home and enjoy the new city we live in.

Contests/Publications:I really enjoy playing on different forums and have won various contests. A few of my pages and a mini book have been published in the ezine Ready, Set, Create.

One scrapbook product you can't live without. I cannot live without flowers. I love them. I need them. I buy them everywhere I go. :-)

When are you most creative and why? I think I am most creative in the evening after I know all the housework is done and dinner has been made. I like to sit down at my desk, turn some music on, break out the peanut butter M&M's (a must) and start scrapping.

3 random things about you: I love to snowboard and even worked a season at a ski resort. I have a weakness for Godiva dark chocolate covered strawberries. I love to watch football with my husband especially the Cowboys (I've been corrupted.)

A hobby you have other than scrapbooking I love to bake and cook. I am constantly trying new recipes and mixing things up. I especially like to make dessert and everytime we go to a friends house I always volunteer to bring something yummy. I have a major sweet tooth.

Describe your scrapbook style Fun, creative and Bold. I love colorful patterned paper, lots of embellishments and flowers. My passion is photography and strive to learn more about it!

Are you an organized scrapper or do you work in a mess? Generally I like to be organized and clean my desk off after every page but sometimes if I am time pressed to get something done it turns into a total mess.

If you could be anywhere right now..... I would be laying on the beach of Tahiti. I have always wanted to go there and stay in one of the over water bungalo's where you can swim in the crisp clear water right off your balcony. Someday...he did promise me we could go for our 5th anniversary though!

I am honored to be designing for Erica. She has such a great store (all the new fun things) and her design team is awesome. I can't wait to get to know you all.

(hey, a girl after my own heart - CRUISING!! One of our favorite things to do! We can't wait until our next one - to Alaska.)

New arrivals and remembering....

Today, we remember 9/11. I can't believe 7 years has passed. I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard the news. On my way to work, the radio staion got really serious. It went from morning jokes to switching over to their sister AM station. It was one of those moments where time stops and you don't have a chance to take it all in. Information was coming from all directions. Then the second plane hit. Then the Pentagon.

Everyone was affected by 9/11 in some way. Lets take a moment to remember.

And we have a few new things in the store today. Some new Hambly. You asked for Moustaches and you got them. I'm already trying to think of funny things to do with these! So excited to get the Clearly Heavy Overlays in as well. These are thick acrylic like sheets, except they can be cut with scissors, craft knives and die cut machines.

Each 12x12 sheet can be cut down to make 4 6x6 sheets. The perfect Mini-Album!

New Rouge De Garance - Bain de Soleil. Warm summer colors mixed with the perfect colors for fall.

And SEI Windsor - lots of cool papers including flocked and foil. And don't forget the cute embellishments!

Don't forget the coupon code when checking out. CHEAPSHIP gets you 15% off your entire order. And we have new lower shipping rates for our international customers.

Photo matties, but they're in the shape of a file folder. They come in kraft, black and grid patterns. So cute! Here are a few ideas from the SR site.

And a small order from Fancy Pants. They left out our order of All Fall Chipboard shapes and acrylic stamps. Check out the NEW section of the store to see everything we just got in!

We thought this was a cute idea so we're posting the link here. I've been working on one of these for the past week and will have some pictures to post this weekend.

New shipping costs, contest news, coupons and more.....

Okay, we finally worked out the final details with the USPS. We can now offer First Class shipping to our International Customers. That means, lower shipping fees.

In fact, we're lowering our International Rates all around. First Class rates are only beneficial up to 3 pounds. Anything more than that and we will ship Priority. We compared the costs and this is what we have to do.

First Class takes a little longer to get to you (only a couple of days) but it costs less! Less shipping means more product right?

Okay, so the new shipping rates go into effect tonight! And to celebrate, we're offering 15% off your order through the rest of the week. Enter code CHEAPSHIP to receive the 15% off your entire order.

The new International Shipping rates are as follows:

Orders up to $50.00 - $10.00 shipping
$51.00 - $85.00 -$11.00 shipping
$86.00 - $100.00 - $13.00 shipping
$100.00 - $150.00 - $18.00 shipping
$151.00 - $249.00 - $23.00 shipping
Orders over $250 still receive free shipping

We hope we are able to better accomodate our international customers with these new rates. Please note, if your shipping comes to a lesser amount, your final invoice will be adjusted to reflect the new rate. We do not charge more than what we are charged for shipping. In fact, we've been charging you a 25% discounted rate than what the USPS has been charging us. With the ability to ship First Class, we can offer an even greater discount. The same goes for our US customers. Our system only calculates based on the amount of your order. The USPS charges based on zone AND weight. In turn, we base our shipping costs on an estimated cost. If we pay less, than so do you. You might notice this on your final invoice included with your order.

Please email us at admin@yourscrapbookstash.com with any questions.

Rose Moka and Design Team Galleries.....

Okay, after sitting at Customs for who knows how long, one lovely parcel from Rose Moka arrived late Friday.

Lots of bright summer colors mixed with some great ones for fall. These look great with anything! And they even have cute mini alphas like the MM ones in colors to match their lovely papers.

And we updated the About Us page for the store. It now includes Design Team bios.

We're going to spotlight each one of the girls and their amazing work in the gallery this month.

In celebration of the arrival of the Rose Moka papers, we're going to spotlight Emeline and Beatriz. Both of these inspirational creators also design for RM.

Beatriz:

I'm an Interior Designer. I am from Mexico, now I live in the USA with my husband and our baby. I fell in love with scrapbooking when I was looking through a magazine and saw all the beautiful things that you can do. Right now I'm in love with cardmaking and altered art ... I have been scrapbooking for 2 1/2 years. I love to use ribbon, buttons and flowers on most of my creations.

Contests/Publications: I have won a few contests, recently I was one of the top 10 finalists for the Paper Crafts Magazine Gallery Idol 2008. Some of my work has been published in Magazines like: Paper Trends, Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Paper Crafts, Scrapbook and Cards today.

One product I can't live without: Patterned paper

When are you most creative and why? When I am listening music

A hobby you have other than scrapbooking: Right now only scrapbooking

Describe your scrapbook style: My style is romantic, feminine, shabby.

Are you an organized scrapper or do you work in a mess? Most of the times I work in a total mess!

If you could be anywhere right now.....In my Country: Mexico

You can see all her work in her gallery. Check out some of my favorites from her August Gallery.

Beatriz used the Daisy D's Chloe Marie papers and the Making Memories Passport Embossed Floral.

Jenni Bowlin mini with the Daisy D's Chloe Marie papers. The felt 'lace' on the cover of the mini is a Prima Felt Mattie. These come in 6x6 sheets (3 to a pack). You can see one of them on a mini album we took pictures of at CHA.

More Daisy D's, making Memories and American Crafts Thickers. You can tell Beatriz is the card maker of the group!

And if you're interested in any of her designs, you may be lucky enough to find them in her Etsy shop!

Emeline:

My name is Emeline. I'm from Singapore. A tiny red dot on the world map. No where close to China. I'm called M, em, emmy for short... whatever is fine... as long as I know you're calling me A 30 year old SAHM to two very little persons aged 4 years and 1 year. I used to work in the financial sector before I hung up my heels 4 years ago. I had interest in all things crafty since I was little. But playing with scissors, paper and glue took a great turn only after I became a SAHM.

Contests/Publications Recent accolade : Memory Makers Masters 2009 runner up. Work seen in Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends, CARDS, Papercraft, Scrapbooking Memories (australia), For Keeps Scrapbooking (australia), Scrapbooking Creations (australia).

One scrapbook product you can't live without: Glue.

When are you most creative and why? At night after 10. That's when the house is quiet, cleaned and it's time for myself!

3 random things about you: I play the keyboard in the church band. I love it when it rains and when the sky is gloomy. I am a person with few words.

A hobby you have other than scrapbooking: Music and bargain hunting.

Describe your scrapbook style: I think it changes like the season. I used to love bright, bold pages. Then I got bored and ventured into vintage, ephemeric shabby chic style. Either way, I still love to add a splash of colours on my pages.

Are you an organized scrapper or do you work in a mess? I cannot work on a messed up table. Just like how I cannot live in a messy house. I need to have things in place most of the time.

If you could be anywhere right now.....In bed sleeping.

You can see her entire gallery here.

And some of my favorites from her August Gallery.....

Em used the Prima Paintables. If you're looking for an easy way to customize a background - check these out! They're fun and allow you to be an artist! Ink them, paint them, watercolor them even Stickles work on these papers!

9/4 New Arrivals

As soon as we got the shipping notice on this last week, we wanted to tell you. But then it wouldn't be such a fun day when it arrived. The new Fancy Pants is here! I love Fall. Next to winter, this is my favorite season. We don't get much of a winter here in Southern California which is disappointing. I love winter. I love snow and rain and cold weather. I love it all. I know all of you living in places where you actually get this kind of weather are shaking your heads at me. I know, it seems strange. However, I love the change of seasons. Something we don't get here. We have hot and not so hot. Do you know how hard it is to get in the Christmas spirit when you're wearing shorts, its 80 degrees and you're trying to pick out a half dead Christmas tree?

So forgive me for drooling over the fall and winter papers this year. Its been so hot here, I'm wishing it would snow!

All Fall, The Daily Grind and the NEW Glitter Cuts. Oh, you're going to drool over these!!

I think the owl and tree are my favorites. The owl I have plans for - the tree, well its sitting in my Halloween Stash.
